YOGA & MEDITATION
I took my first yoga class in the mid 90’s: it was love at first Savasana. That day, yoga planted a tiny seed that developed deeper roots, slowly but steadily blooming over 20 years of practice exploring various styles including Anusara, Iyengar, Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Kundalini.
I have been lucky enough to have studied with and been mentored by SO many amazing teachers: first and unforgettably, the iconoclastic Kelly Morris, graduating from her Conquering Lion Yoga Teacher Training with my YA certification 300 hours RYT. I'm currently continuing my yoga studies with the master alignment teacher, Christina Sell and have also learned under the mentorship of the groundbreaking somatic therapist and yoga teacher, Livia Cohen Shapiro of Ecstatic Unfoldment/Applied Psychology for Yogi's.
I am also grateful to Reik Masters Christine Hier and Allanah Luna for initiating me into the Reiki Lineage and thanks to their encouragement and instruction and attunement, I am also a Reiki 2 practitioner.
I've taught at studios throughout NYC including, Upper West Side Yoga, Devi Yoga Studio in Williamsburg, Bread and Yoga and Mind Body Soul Yoga in upper Manhattan, Lila Yoga and Wellness on the Bowery and more recently in Westchester at Tovami Yoga, and Radiate Yoga. I was also on the teaching staff and the former Program Director at Prana Prenatal Yoga in Port Chester, NY.
I believe in a dedicated asana and meditation practice and that yoga is a gateway to explore the wholeness and integration of mind, body and heart through acceptance and deep compassion. This practice has been the foundation for my continued healing and transformation and a great source of freedom, peace and joy in my life. I share it with others from this place of service.
Other influences and teachers I must mention who have touched or downright changed my life: the Brujas of Brooklyn (Griselda and Migue) PHD's, Kundalinis, and lighthouses of Spirit, Wellness and Social Justice, Luna Sol and Graciela of Ceremonial Souls, Sacred Woman, ritual and space holder, Queen Afua, Divine Elder and Founder of Sacred Woman and Heal Thyself. And to my Kriya Sisterhood- deep bow from my heart for your endless support. Thank you my SiStars for reflecting to me, all I am and all I can be.

OFF THE MAT
When not practicing or teaching, you'll find me at home cuddling with my cat, the very Haughty Harriet, reading a good book, or watching Golden Girls re-runs and eating popcorn and ice cream. On Summer days you might bump into me near some body of water, any will do but, preferably the ocean, or maybe at a ballgame root root rooting for the home team (Let's Go Yankees!); on a crisp Fall or Spring afternoon we might cross paths walking under the magical foliage at Fort Tryon park. Or perhaps some rare and inspired moon lit evening at a local spot that plays good music, we might laugh, sing and dance our hearts out moving and shaking what our mamas gave us.
